Ambassador of Arab republic of Egypt visits the chamber and holds a meeting

On Sunday morning 05-16-2021, the ambassador of Arab republic of Egypt to Libya, Dr. Muhammad Tharwat Salim, visited the headquarters of the Misrata chamber of commerce, industry and agriculture, where he held a meeting with the chairman of the chamber’s board of directors , Mr (Muhammad Al-Raeed) and the deputy chairman of board of directors, Mr (Mahmoud Al-Shawash) ,members of the board of directors , chamber’s  stuff, and a number of institutions within the city, and a group of businessmen affiliated in the chamber. 

This meeting began with a welcoming speech by the chairman of the chamber’s board of directors in which he welcomed the ambassador in Misrata in general and in the chamber in particular, he emphasized the depth of brotherly relations between the Libyan and Egyptian people,

as well as the importance of increasing trade and economic exchange between the two countries, while a number of businessmen talked about the most important difficulties they face in trade between the two countries and asked the ambassador to expedite the procedures for expatriate workers to Libya.

The ambassador also expressed his happiness during this visit, especially that Misrata is the first city that he visited after about 10 days of receiving his duties in the capital, Tripoli, because of the economic and commercial activity that the city is known for, as well as the historical links between the businessmen of the city in particular and Libya in general with businessmen of the republic of Egypt.

 He emphasized his continuous work to accelerate the return of Egyptian workers to Libya as soon as possible, as well as the entry of Libyan businessmen and citizens to the republic of Egypt with ease.

He also confirmed that the Egyptian embassy is currently returning to work in Tripoli and confirmed that within months, it will be ready with all its staff. The ambassador also talked about their quick and serious moves to open flights between Tripoli and Cairo in addition to the current flights between Tripoli and Alexandria and confirmed that they will be very soon.
