Maiteeg visits the chamber and meets with businessmen to follow up the implementation of the targeted economic reform program

Chamber of commerce, industry and agriculture of Misurata organized in cooperation with the faculty of economics and political science of Misurata on Sunday 28-10-2018 a panel discussion entitled (Follow-up implementation of the targeted economic reform program), The meeting was attended by Mr. Ahmed Maiteeg, deputy of the presidential council of the national government of accord and attended by Mr. Ihab Al-Aweeb, Hani Badi and Abdulmoula Al-Toumi, members of chamber’s board of directors, academics, professors and a number of advisors.

During this panel discussion The economic reform program was presented ,in terms of objectives and priority of its implementation, then Mr. Maiteeg listened to package of views and proposals presented by businessmen and specialists on the obstacles facing the private sector and the impact of implementing this program and ways of addressing them.

The discussion stressed the importance of the points adopted in the economic reform program, which is being worked on as a first stage, including addressing the deterioration of the Libyan dinar exchange rate against foreign currencies, combating the parallel market through limited procedures and measures, working on improving the performance of banks and providing liquidity and monitoring the contribution of banks in the implementation of the economic reform program.

The members of chamber’s board of directors  of the chamber presented the shield of the chamber to Mr. Ahmed Maiteeg, as recognition to the efforts he exerted to implement the economic reform program aimed at reviving the Libyan economy in the coming stage.
