On Tuesday morning, 07/09/2024 AD, at the administrative headquarters of Misurata chamber, Mr. (Fathi Al-Amin Al-Turki), chairman of the chamber’s board of directors, Mr. (Abu Bakr Abdel-Bari Shanab), general manager of Misrata chamber, and Mr. (Ali Muftah Zagoot), exhibitions and media department director, met with Engineer (Salem Khalifa Al-Shibli), Engineer (Nasser Muhammad Al-Maghrabi) and Engineer (Tariq Muhammad Bashina) from the Libyan foundation for pest management and environmental systems.

The meeting addressed the agricultural sector in general in Libya and food security, in which agriculture plays an essential role. The meeting also addressed the harm of pesticides used on agriculture in Libya.

The attendees agreed that Misurata Chamber would adopt conferences, seminars and workshops in cooperation with the Libyan foundation for Pest management and ecosystems to raise awareness of the importance of the agricultural sector in Libya and the most important problems and obstacles that the sector faces to achieve the concept of national food security.
