Misurata chamber of commerce, industry and agriculture receives  a delegation of Chinese businessmen.

Monday afternoon, 21/5/2024, at the administrative headquarters of Misurata chamber, Mr. Fathi Al-Amin Al-Turki, chairman of chamber’s board of directors,  accompanied by a number of members of the chamber’s board of directors and a number of department managers, with a group of businessmen in the city, received a delegation of owners of a number of Chinese companies specialized in contracting, construction, steel industries, investment, and others.

The meeting began with Mr. (Fathi Al-Amin Al-Turki) welcoming the delegation and introducing Misurata chamber and Misurata city in general. He also mentioned 

the projects undertaken by the chamber, the most prominent about the new investment building of Misurata chamber.

The local companies present also introduced themselves to their companies and the extent of their dealings with the Chinese side in importing raw materials and manufactured materials.

For their part, the owners and representatives of Chinese companies introduced their companies and their desire to invest in the Libyan market and establish new partnerships with Libyan companies.

The two parties discussed the possibility of Chinese companies returning to suspended projects in Libya and the importance of Chinese companies in rebuilding Libya, the most important of which are road and bridge projects, especially the roads linking the city of Misurata and southern Libya, extending to Africa.

Mr. Fathi Al-Amin Al-Turki also stressed the necessity of returning Chinese investment to Libya in general and Misurata in particular. The Chinese side was also invited to open a Chinese consulate in the city of Misurata in order to facilitate procedures for issuing Chinese visas to Libyan businessmen.

At the conclusion of this meeting, the chairman of the chamber’s board of directors handed over the chamber’s souvenir to the Chinese delegation.
