On Thursday morning, March 26, 2026, at the Chamber’s administrative headquarters, Mr. Fathi Al-Amin Al-Turki, chairman of the board of directors, along with Mr. Abubakr Abdulbari Shennab, general manager of the chamber, with the presence of a number of department managers, received the visiting Italian delegation.
The delegation was headed by Mr. Luigi Attanasio, President of the Genoa chamber of commerce, accompanied by Mr. Stefano Pomata, Mediterranean area manager of the Messina maritime line, along with their accompanying delegation. This visit comes within the framework of strengthening economic relations and exchanging expertise between the two sides.
At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Fathi Al-Amin Al-Turki gave an overview of the industrial companies affiliated with the Chamber and their role in supporting the national economy. Discussions also covered key avenues for enhancing joint cooperation and opening new prospects for partnership across various commercial, industrial, service, and agricultural sectors.
The meeting also witnessed the extension of an official invitation to the visiting delegation to encourage Italian companies to participate in and visit the 6th African Construction Exhibition 2026, scheduled to be held from May 2 to 5, 2026, in Misurata city.
At the conclusion of the meeting, a visit was conducted to the Chamber’s new administrative building. the chairman of the board of directors also presented traditional gifts to the visiting delegation as a commemorative gesture of this visit.
