On the morning of Saturday, 13-12-2025, a specialized workshop in the field of pest control was launched at the administrative headquarters of the chamber. The workshop was jointly organized by Misurata chamber of commerce, industry, and agriculture and ORKIN LIBYA, a world leader in pest control. This initiative is part of the chamber’s ongoing efforts to enhance the efficiency of the private sector and develop the business environment for its members.
The workshop was presented by Mr. Simon Williams, general manager of ORKIN, Ms. Debi Hirst, contracts manager, and Mr. Abdelhadi Al-Aswad, operations manager at the company—international lecturers specializing in pest control.
The workshop covered several topics, including (the fundamentals of pest control and the latest scientific trends, practical guidelines and approved documentation protocols, and the application of Integrated Pest Management – IPM). It targeted company owners and responsible managers, health, quality, environment, and safety directors, as well as companies with special requirements, such as hospitals, food and beverage factories, and hotels.
