Misurata chamber of commerce, industry, and agriculture held a meeting with owners of commercial and service businesses in Misurata.

On Saturday morning, 18/10/2025, in the new auditorium of Misurata chamber of commerce, Mr. Fathi Al-Amin Al-Turki, chairman of the chamber’s board of directors, held a meeting with several business owners affiliated with the chamber. The meeting addressed ministerial decree No. (42) of 2025, issued by the Minister of Economy and Trade, which prohibits import activities except through banking transactions. Attendees discussed the decree and its impact on the flow of goods to the local market and the disruption of trade. They called for the development of alternative payment methods, such as direct transfers or collection fees, to ensure their ability to import goods, just like other businesses.

It was agreed to form a committee to follow up on the matter, prepare memoranda, contact relevant authorities, find swift solutions, and review the decree.
