Misurata chamber of commerce, industry, and agriculture welcomes a high-Level delegation from Italy
On Sunday morning, 08-12- 2024, the administrative headquarters of Misurata chamber of commerce, industry, and agriculture hosted a high-level Italian delegation. The meeting was attended by Mr. Fathi Al-Amin Al-Turki, chairman of the chamber’s board of directors, alongside Mr. Ihab Al-Hadi Al-Awaib, board of directors Member, and Mr. Abubakr Abdulbari Shanab, general manager of the chamber, as well as other department directors and a group of businessmen in Misurata.
The Italian delegation included Mr. Roberto Cittilotti, vice president of the Mantova region in Italy, accompanied by a number of Italian businessmen and economic figures.
Mr. Fathi Al-Amin Al-Turki opened the meeting with an introduction to Misurata city and the chamber, highlighting ongoing projects, including the chamber’s investment tower.
The two parties discussed several key topics, including facilitating visa issuance for businessmen in both countries and exploring investment opportunities for Italian investors in Libya, particularly in Misrata, in sectors such as fishing, agriculture, and industry.
Mr. Al-Turki invited the Italian delegation to invest in the construction of the Misrata–Sebha–Agadez road to enhance trade with landlocked African countries. He also emphasized the importance of establishing direct flights between Misurata and Italian cities and strengthening maritime routes between the two nations.
At the conclusion of the visit, the chairman presented the chamber’s shield as a token of appreciation, along with gifts showcasing Libyan heritage.
