Abu Dhabi summit on 7th of May
Mr. Abdul Majeed Al-Taher Balaow (vice chairman of the board of directors) and Mr. Youssef Abdulqader Abu Shaiba (foreign Relations and International Cooperation department manager ) at Misurata chamber of commerce, industry and agriculture , participated in the activities of the thirteenth session of the (AIM) investment summit, which was held in the United Arab Emirates capital, Abu Dhabi, the opening witnessed a large attendance. It includes presidents of countries, ministers, government officials, and decision-makers from various countries of the world, in addition to elite investors, major business companies, chambers of commerce and industry, emerging, small and medium-sized companies, international organizations, and a large number of visitors from more than 175 countries around the world.
The summit will be held under the slogan “Adapting to the transformation of the investment landscape: harnessing new potentials to develop global economic development” , and will extend over 3 days until May 9, 2024, at the Abu Dhabi exhibition and convention center.
The opening program of the summit on its first day included delivering a group of keynote speeches and direct discussion sessions by policy makers and senior businessmen, with the aim of exchanging knowledge, experiences and visions with the participants on how to adapt to the transformations of the global investment landscape and find solutions to confront the challenges.
Participants pointed to the remarkable flexibility that private markets have demonstrated over the past few years and the use of innovative methods in confronting unprecedented challenges, ranging from the pandemic to digital transformation, and from the climate crisis to geopolitical tensions.
In his speech, Mr. Samir Abdullah Nass, chairman of the Union of Arab chambers and chairman of the Bahrain chamber of commerce and industry, highlighted the challenges and opportunities associated with adapting to new technologies to achieve economic growth.
The chamber delegation met with many of the participating chambers of commerce to open horizons for cooperation in several areas that were agreed upon and will be followed up to achieve the desired goals.
