The minister of local government issued the decree No. (152) for year 2019, for transferring the competencies of the ministry of economy and industry to the local administrative units in the municipalities. This decision was one of the priorities of the plan of the minister of economy and Industry “Alessawi” to activate the law (59) for the transition to local administration and decentralization, so that the municipalities can establish economic projects that suit needs of local units and citizens, considering the material and human potential available and encouraging domestic investments, which contribute to alleviating the burden of traditional state resources and allocating those resources to national projects.
