On Thursday morning,7/3/2019, a meeting was held between the foodstuffs businessmen and
the manager of the food and medication control center Mr. (ahmed aldala), and a member of
board of directors of Misurata chamber of commerce, industry and agriculture, Mr.(hani badi),
and members of board of directors “Alraqeeb” Libyan organization for consumer protection,
the meeting was opened with welcoming speech by Mr(Hani Badi),and Mr(ahmed aldalaa),
where he emphasized the role of the foodstuffs control authority and its important role of the
approved inspection procedures for the food, after welcoming they let the businessmen to ask
questions and discuss problems facing them as suppliers of food procedures and conditions
of free sale and packaging and terms of reference and mechanisms of work in ports and
internal control and the problems of delay in the withdrawal of samples and inspections of
food by the control and accelerate the procedure for the provisional and final release of food
supplied, it was agreed to hold a meeting next week, which also includes the heads of
customs at the ports and the head of the radiation center and a number of officials in this
sector in Misurata to develop solutions to all issues and obstacles.
