Misrata chamber of commerce, industry, and agriculture receives the advisor and deputy ambassador of Korea to Libya
On Wednesday morning, 5/11/2025, at the chamber’s administrative headquarters, Mr. Fathi Al-Amin Al-Turki, chairman of the chamber’s board of directors, along with Mr. Al-Hussein Omar Al-Majri, Mr. Ihab Al-Hadi Al-Aweib, Mr. Hani Abdullah Badi, and Mr. Muhammad Ali Osman, members of the board of directors, and several department heads from the chamber, received Mr. Cho Woo-seok, deputy ambassador of Korea, accompanied by Mr. Ibrahim Chang, advisor to the Korean ambassador, and his delegation.
Mr. Fathi Al-Amin opened the meeting by introducing Misurata city in general, and Misurata chamber of commerce, in particular. He highlighted the most important events and activities the chamber will be organizing, most notably the 6th African building and equipment exhibition, to be held in Misurata in May 2026. During the meeting, he also raised the request to facilitate Libyan bank credits to Korean banks and to open scholarship opportunities in Korea. The deputy ambassador pledged that these scholarships would begin next year in coordination with the Misurata chamber of commerce.
For his part, Mr. Cho Woo-seok emphasized his strong desire to participate in the 6th African exhibition and to organize a Libyan-Korean business conference to exchange expertise, strengthen trade relations, and open up greater investment opportunities between the two countries through trade exchange. He also expressed his commitment to facilitating procedures for Libyan companies.
At the conclusion of the visit, Mr. Al-Hussein Omar Al-Majri presented the chamber’s shield to the visiting delegation as a memento of the visit.
