Misurata chamber of commerce, industry and agriculture participates in the Tunisian-Algerian-Libyan economic forum

On Thursday evening, 22/05/2025, the Tunisian-Algerian-Libyan economic forum was held, with the participation of Misurata chamber of commerce, industry and agriculture, alongside a number of prominent economic figures from Libya, Tunisia, and Algeria.

During the opening ceremony, Mr. Fathi Al-Ameen Al-Turki, chairman of the chamber’s board of directors, delivered a welcome speech in which he greeted the attendees and expressed gratitude to Sfax chamber of commerce and industry for hosting such forums, which promote trade exchange among neighboring countries—Libya, Tunisia, and Algeria—and encourage transit trade to landlocked African nations.

The forum featured several economic presentations by experts from the three participating countries. Among them, Mr. Abubakr Abdulbari Shaneb, general manager of Misurata chamber, delivered an address as part of the session on developing joint investments, titled “Incentives and privileges granted to investors.”

Additionally, Mr. Youssef Abdulqader Abu Shaibah, manager of the administration of foreign relations and international cooperation, presented a talk entitled “New continental corridors and their role in enhancing Intra-African trade.”

During the course of the forum, Misurata chamber signed an agreement with Sfax chamber of commerce and industry to co-organize the African building and equipment exhibition, which is scheduled to be held at Misurata exhibition grounds in early May of 2026
