Signing a joint cooperation agreement with the Indian economic and trade organization

On Wednesday evening, 12/06/2024, at the Laico Hotel in the Tunisian capital, Tunis, a cooperation agreement was signed between the chamber and the Indian economic and trade organization. The signing ceremony was attended by Mr.( Fathi Al-Amin Al-Turki), chairman of the board of directors, and from the Indian side by Mr. (Asif Iqbal), chairman of the economy and trade organization. The signing ceremony of this agreement was also witnessed by many important figures, led by the ambassador of India state to Libya and Tunisia, (Mr. N.G. Gangti ) and Dr. (Krishna Okma) from the Indian COMSA board of trade, Mr. (Sibyan Sebastian), a Bollywood film producer, and Mr.( Jabresh) from the ethanol business in India.

The signing ceremony was also attended by Mr. (Anis Al-Jaziri), chairman of the Tunisian-African business council, that organizing the finance and investment conference in Africa, on the sidelines of which many important events were held. Also present on behalf of the chamber were Mr. (Youssef Abu Shaiba), director of the foreign relations and international cooperation department, and Mr. (Faraj Mirwais) director of the administrative affairs department. This agreement aims to establish a cooperation framework to work together to enhance trade and investment opportunities for members of both parties. There is also support from India to stimulate trade movement with African countries. And given the importance of Libya, the Indian side was the one who requested the signing of the agreement, as India has many activities and large investments in African  countries., its mentioned that  a delegation from the organization will visit Misurata chamber at the end of next month.
