The British ambassador to Libya visits the chamber and holds a meeting with the chamber’s board of directors and a number of its affiliates members
On Sunday evening 13-06-2021, the British ambassador to Libya “Nicolas Hopton” and his accompanying delegation visited the headquarters of Misrata chamber of commerce, industry and agriculture and met with the vice chairman of the board of directors , Mr. Mahmoud Alshawsh and busniessmen affiliated to the chamber.The meeting began with a speech of the vice-chairman of the chamber’s board of directors, in which he welcomed the ambassador in Misrata in general and in the chamber in particular. He also introduced the chamber and talked about the importance of economic and trade relations between Britain and Libya.While the ambassador saluted all businessmen in Libya for their steadfastness and support for their country, especially in the crises that Libya experienced, and emphasized his intention to facilitate communication between the private sector in Libya and the private sector in Britain, which governments in the two countries can help in, especially visas issue.
The meeting also witnessed speeches by a number of businessmen, and their proposal for a number of matters in which cooperation between the two countries could be achieved.
